Same wood different tree

WhooHoo….I love my dance classes and I mean LOVE.If only everyday was a Sunday Yippie doo daa.By the way I found a few more reasons to be proud of my south Indian roots not that I am not already proud or anything.Courtesy to some interview ,I found out that John Abraham has got a bit of Malayalee blood in him and so does Vidya Balan and Arya{or Aryan}

Family: ”did u know john’s mallu?”
Me: ”I thought he’s Iranian Parsi or something like that. where did mallu”ness”come from?”
Famliy ”I don’t know.Read it in some magazine”
Mom: ”See Shalu..there’s still hope for you to find a good looking, well educated Mallu{and she laughs}
Me: ”Whatever ma!”

I knew my mother was joking anyways. Thank God I didn’t end up with typically Hindu/Indian parents. They give my space {though it’s not a lot..i am cool with it}and I give them reason to trust me{smiles..}

I have been thinking of turning vegan, after all the PETA readings I have been doing.
Not immediately though, I’ll need sometime but it shall happen one day or another.

This week is going to be pretty occupied. Fisrt there’s the packing that needs to be done for my 1st trip then there’s the SINDA volunteer programme, which I am heaps excited about. Hopefully everything works out well {fingers crossed}I also have to work on hunting down Anushka Shankar’s CD.By the way she was 2nd page cover for one of the October issues of TIMES magazine ..whoo hooo..

I also want to watch The Departed {I don’t mind watching the Chinese version as long as there’s subtitles}And I very very surprisingly turned down the offer of watching Dhoom2.If the 1st part is anything to be judged by the 2nd one’s going to be just as ridiculous.Hence I will not give up my Wed evening to watch that. Sorry Sara. Honestly it’s this kind of media time and attention that some movies get that deprive the good ones any recognition. No one gives a damn about fresh novel attempts like Mr and Mrs Ayer , Khakee , 15 Park Avenue {which was “literally” out of this world}, Phir Milenge,Mitr my friend. Then there are those who look down on Tamil movies because they don’t have the glamour and also because they don’t generate the media hype Bollywood movies do.Movies like Thalapathi{after 10 years and watching it 50 odd times I am still in love with it} Pitamagan,Pattiyal, Anbe Sivam ,Devar magan are equally fantastic.But no one cares about such production because its not as internationally acclaimed or because there’s no “hot”” good looking” artists to look at.

Change??

Time to go shopping at IKEA..
